Whitestar

From Whitestar’s elevated, contoured sites, the full panorama of the Cardrona Valley unfolds before you. Adding to the allure of this premium neighbourhood is the option to choose from one of six pre-approved house concept designs – each one a masterpiece waiting to elevate your high country lifestyle.

*Terms and conditions apply

Whitestar neighbourhood sits directly opposite the station’s village precinct, giving you convenient access to The Homestead for dining, meeting and accessing the pool and gym facilities. It also backs directly onto a large stretch of reserve land, which will undoubtedly become your gateway to the station’s 400 hectares of high country and 30km trail network. Setting Whitestar apart from other neighbourhoods are three spectacular front-row lots overlooking a stunning alpine tarn. While these Tarn lots will be sought after, every lot within Whitestar has something special to offer.

Eighteen elevated sites each offer a building platform thoughtfully positioned to preserve the views across the plateau and the Cardrona Valley below.

House design options

The six house designs available within Whitestar are the Rose, Crown, Pisa, Soho, Quartz and designed specifically for this neighbourhood—the Whitestar. Each house type reflects the architectural expertise of our partners, Leuschke Group Architects and Assembly Architects and will provide owners with a striking design that connects with the beauty of the landscape. Or the option remains to create your bespoke design using your own architect.

The Whitestar

A thoughtful design to enhance the high country lifestyle.

Step into a home meticulously crafted to embrace natural light, views, and functionality.

On the ground floor an open-plan living and dining area is thoughtfully oriented to allow sunlight in from the north while framing captivating views to the south and east. Careful consideration has been given to positioning the garage on the eastern corner of the site to ensure the two-story house is set back on the boundary minimising potential shading from neighbours. As a result, the living area enjoys a sun-drenched position and flows onto an outdoor deck and lawn area extending towards the road.

Whilst the master bedroom soaks in afternoon sun, the second bedroom offers clear views overlooking the station and over the Cardrona Valley below, adding to the overall appeal of the Whitestar design.

A 189 square metre floor plan consists of 108 sqm on the ground floor and 81 sqm on the upper floor.

The Soho

A contemporary version of the historic miners’ cottages

The Soho evokes the simple beauty of early miners’ cottages while skilfully introducing an astute contemporary twist. The use of corrugated corten steel and timber on the exterior gives the Soho an aesthetic similar to the old cottages and cabins that once dotted the Cardrona landscape. These old buildings were humble dwellings, yet the Soho is far from simplistic in its design. Leuschke Group Architects expertly deliver a luxurious, modern home that sits comfortably within its setting and offers myriad ways to maximise liveability, views and connection to the landscape

Keeping a close connection with its surroundings, the Soho offers generous use of glazing to frame the views. The single-level design retains a quaint charm at the front, yet walk through the home, and you step into a modern, open-plan living, dining and kitchen space. Full-length glass doors connect the indoor, outdoor and courtyard spaces.
