Cardrona Alpine Resort is home to 465 hectares of skiable terrain and the Southern Hemisphere’s most extensive terrain park—and it is all just a 12-minute drive from your home at the station. Step into skiing and snowboarding in winter and mountain biking and carting in summer.
The Southern Hemisphere Proving Ground (SHPG) is an automotive testing facility on the Pisa Range across the valley from Mt Cardrona. Its world-class facilities draw vehicle and tyre manufacturers from around the world for snow and ice testing.
Established in 1863 during the days of the gold rush, the Cardrona Hotel is one of New Zealand's oldest hotels. Located on the Crown Range Road just below Mt Cardrona Station, it provides a restaurant and beer garden steeped in rustic charm.
Cardrona Distillery is an artisan distillery producing handcrafted single malt whisky, gin, vodka, and liqueurs using pure alpine water and locally sourced ingredients. With its distinctive stone buildings, the distillery is fast becoming a Cardrona must-do.
